Track Tuesday

It has been just over 3 weeks since I’ve been back working with coach Joel Filliol. It has been a very positive change, I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’m really enjoying working with him again and training has been rolling along quite nicely.

Here’s a sneak peek of what our Tuesday afternoon session looks like:

One question….since the cold tub at PISE is across town from the UVIC track, do you get the same recovery benefit if you’re dipping 20-30 minutes after the workout ended?

That’s a good question. I wondered that too. We consulted with Trent Stellingwerff (Physiologist at CSCP) and the consensus was that obviously the sooner the better but that 20-30 minutes later would still offer a significant benefit. So, at the end of this workout I do a 20 minute cool-down, grab some recovery nutrition and drive straight over.
