You gotta be kidding me!

Yesterday afternoon I had a second swim, just 2k easy after my run. So, Kelly and I went to the pool together. We showed up at Crystal around 3:45. The parking lot was full, as it always is, so we had to park on the street.

Kelly ran on the treadmill while I floated around for about 30 minutes. We got out of there pretty fast, walked outside, and did the “uhhhh where’s the car…I could of sworn we parked right over there”. We were right, we did park over there, right under the sign (that I was completely oblivious to when we parked) that read Parking 8am-4pm (tow-away zone 4-6pm)…it was 4:30 at this point. We must have just missed them pulling away. Needless to say, it was an expensive 2k swim. I usually enjoy trying to find my way out of things like this, but there was nothing we could do, we were totally in the wrong. Lesson learned. Thanks to Lois and the Hasegawa boys for giving us a lift.

Today was our first of four recovery days. The last 3 week block was pretty solid, a fair bit of volume and a lot of steady state work. It’s nice to have a bit of a rest now. This morning’s swim was very relaxed. We did some stroke analysis with the underwater video camera which was fun. It’s such a great tool to have. I had a 1hr45min much needed massage with Kim mid-day and since then I’ve been planted in front of the new tv! Time to pick Kelly up from school and get some groceries.
