Well, I’m not still in the San Fran airport, I did make it back to Vic. Training has been rolling along nicely since Tucson. The weather has been pretty good too. Everything seems to be coming together at the right time. My swimming has been going very well lately. I think Philippe’s program has definitely sparked some improvements in the water. My riding feels pretty strong right now too. My new bike arrived on Wednesday…the Cervelo S2 complete with the new dura ace, just in time for my first two races of the year. I leave tomorrow for Japan. Really looking forward to it. It’s been a while since I’ve raced so I’m excited to see where I’m at.
I also just started a partnership with 7SYSTEMS. They make an excellent sport endurance supplement. It’s basically a multivitamin with everything you could possibly want. I started taking it just before we left for Tucson and I’ve noticed a big difference in my recovery in the last six weeks. If you’re interested in the product just visit their website and read up on it. I strongly recommend it.
Here’s a picture of me with the Game Ready Icing/Compression machine. Simon let me borrow it for the past couple weeks. Very convenient and excellent for recovery. I’ve been using it daily. Thanks Simon!
…and the new bike!
I also got more blood work done when we got back from Tucson. My ferritin levels had gone up, which was good, but they were still on the low side. So, I took a visit to see Dr.Keeler on Thursday and he gave me a nice shot in the rear. It actually wasn’t too painful, I was expecting much worse. Unfortunately, no pictures from that.
