Professional Triathlete & Canadian Olympian

I’m in Tours, France right now…in my hotel room watching the tour and resting up for the Grand Prix race tomorrow. This will be my first GP race so I’m looking forward to it. It’s a sprint distance race (750m/20k/5k) with 88 guys. Should be fast and fun! I will be racing for the Metz Triathlon Club. There are 5 athletes per team. I will be joining Igor Sysoev (Russian Olympian) and 3 French Athletes.

I made some changes to my bike position earlier this week in an attempt to open up my breathing a little more on the bike. My bars are much higher now. It looks a little dorky but feels very comfortable in training so I’m excited to see how it goes tomorrow in the race.

Not much else to report…I’m loving Eurosport, by far my favourite tv channel. I’ve watched endless hours of tour coverage, multiple track meets, and loads of other “sporting events” in the short time I’ve been here.

Time to go meet the team…

  1. Regardless of your bike position you’re still a dork 🙂
